For 2 years now developer “YAGER” has been working on “Dead Island 2”, the sequel to the 2011 open world zombie game until now. “Deep Silver” the publisher of the “Dead Island” series has announced that YAGER will no longer work on the title and development will be handed over to a new developer still yet to be announced. An official statement from “Deep Silver” was released stating:

“With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve. After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner YAGER. We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.”

“Dead Island 2” was planned to be released this Spring but was delayed to 2016 but with something as huge as changing the entire development team I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is delayed again to a later date. Until then though you can enjoy this trailer and “Dying Light” another open world zombie game by “Deep Silver” that I personally gave an 8.5 out of 10.
