Derek Connolly, the writer of this year’s blockbuster ‘Jurassic World, has signed on to reopen parts of the script for Universal’s ‘Kong: Skull Island’, which is being directed by Jordon Vogt-Roberts.
‘Kong: Skull Island’ already has an impressive cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly (Guardians of the Galaxy), Tom Wilkinson (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers), Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four) and Brie Larson of ’21 Jump Street’. Universal plans to begin filming this October and for the movie to debut in theaters March 10, 2017.
In the film a team of explorers investigate a mysterious island, full of creatures, including the king of the Apes.
