John Carpenter. has been behind so many horror classics, such as Halloween (1978), They Live (1988) and The Thing (1982), just to name a few. Now, he has four new unnamed television series in development.
Carpenter’s wife, Sandy King Carpenter, recently appeared on an episode of the podcast Killer POV and revealed that the four shows were currently in development and that her husband will be writing the pilot episodes of the shows, as well as serving as executive producer for all four. Mrs. Carpenter will be producing along side her husband.
“Right now there’s four series waiting to go to network. As far as I’m concered, we’ll do all of them. I mean, they’re great and they’re different from anything that’s out there, and they again push the boundries of what’s horror. John would be directing the pilots and we would be executive producing them. There’s sci-fi, there’s horror, there’s one that I guess would be a sci-fi futuristic kind of thing. They’re all across the board. I think they’ll fulfill what people expect out of him by also being unpredictable.”
As soon as we learn more about the new series we will post an update, but let’s face it, with Carpenter involved, it’s likely to be a hit.
