Fear the Walking Dead has just begun filming for its second season. The first season, filmed in Vancouver, ended with the group on the beach, with the hint that they may seek refuge from the zombie apocalypse at sea. When news broke (via IGN) that the second season is being filmed in Baja Mexico it seemed to confirm the second season will have a nautical theme. The filming location is famous for its use in movies involving ocean scenes, including in films such as Titanic.
“We are thrilled to be shooting in Mexico,” David Erickson, showrunner of FTWD stated. “Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the “Fear” saga. We couldn’t be happier.”
Fear the Walking Dead will return in the Spring with fifteen-episodes and according to show creator Robert Kirkman the second season will have plenty “zombie water action”.
