A new creature-feature is in the works from Ron Carlson. In Carlson’s horror-comedy, Dead Ant, a rock band takes on giant ants (THR). The film centers on a down and out hair band that gets the chance for their long awaited comeback, by playing at Coachella. The band gets stuck in the desert and must fight for their lives against, you guessed it, giant ants.
Dead Ant stars Tom Arnold as the band’s manager. The cast includes Sean Astin (The Strain), Jake Busey (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Danny Woodburn (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Michael Horse, Leisha Hailey (The L Word), Cameron Richardson (Murder in the First), and Rhys Coiro (Entourage) . Dead Ant is currently filming in Santa Clarita, California.
