Two miles west of London, Dr. Robert Laing has just moved into a new apartment seeking anonymity, only to find that his new neighbors won’t leave him alone. Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighborly, but as he struggles to establish himself, good manners and his grip on sanity disintegrate along with the building. The lights go out and the elevators fail, but the party goes on. Booze is currency and chaos ensues.
Directed by Ben Wheatley, High-Rise stars Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers), Jeremy Irons (The Borgias), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) and Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men). The film is based on the 1975 novel by J.G. Ballard, by the same name.
No US release date has been announced, but if you’re in the UK, you can catch High-Rise in theaters on March 18th.
