News comes this morning that after years of rumors the sequel/spin-off to 2008’s Cloverfield is not only real, it’s wrapped filming and is set to land in theaters on March 11th and there is a trailer! Paramount has confirmed it. The title of the film is 10 Cloverfield Lane.
10 Cloverfield Lane stars John Goodman, Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film centers on a woman who wakes up to realize she is being held in a cellar by Goodman’s character, who believes there has been a nuclear disaster, but when she escapes she realizes that there is something happening and really was trying to protect her.
The film is not a true sequel. It is more of a spin-off. It takes place in a different location than the events that took place in Cloverfield.
