It’s been a long time since we have heard any news about Jeepers Creepers 3. New artwork has now been released and the film is finally in development after what feels like a twenty-three year wait. Jeepers Creepers 3 is expected to launch in Vancouver soon (via Dread Central). Myriad Pictures will be backing the follow up to 2003’s Jeepers Creepers 2, which they plan to take the European Film Market in Berlin. All three Jeepers films were written and directed by Victor Salva.
The franchise follow a creature who feeds for 23 days every 23 years. It’s meal of choice, human parts. The winged creature consumes the parts to regenerate it’s own organs.
Jonathan Breck will once again put on the Creeper’s hat and duster (coat) to terrorize the film’s cast, including Brandon Smith, returning to his role as Sergeant Tubbs.
“Jeepers Creepers 3 will show events on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.”
American Zoetrope (Francis Ford Copala), Kirk Shaw and Odyssey Media (Surai Gohill) will produce and Kirk D’Amico will serve as Executive Producer.
