Summer is quickly approaching and CBS is getting ready for their summer series to premiere. CBS has added two new horror related series to their lineup, BrainDead and American Gothic. We will also see the return of Zoo, one CBS’ highest viewed series, for its second season.
BrainDead, from Robert and Michael King, the acclaimed creators of The Good Wife, will premiere on Monday, June 13 at 10/11 pm ET/PT. BrainDead follows Laurel (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a young Hill staffer, who has discovered two things, the government is no longer working and that bugs are eating the brains of Congress. The series stars Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, Tony Shalhoub, Nikki M. James, and David W. Zucker.
American Gothic is set to premiere on June 22 at 10/11 pm ET/PT. The series, from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, centers on a prominent Boston family reeling from the discovery that someone in their midst is linked to a infamous string of murders. Juliet Rylance, Antony Starr, Virginia Madsen, Justin Chatwin, Elliot Knight, Megan Ketch, Stephanie Leonidas, and Gabriel Bateman star in this dark drama.
Zoo returns on Tuesday, June 28 at 9/10 pm ET/PT with its 2 hour season 2 premiere. Zoo, based on the bestselling novel by James Petterson, follows a group of people trying to found why animals all over the world are tuning on people. The animals are working together and are now attacking society’s infrastructure in an effort to rid the planet of human kind. Zoo stars James Wolk, Kristen Connolly, Billy Burke, Nonso Anozie, Nroa Arnezeder, Josh Salatina and Alyssa Diaz.
