Just when you thought you had seen every type of zombie movie, a movie comes along that flips the genre on its head and Sky Sharks will do jut that. The upcoming zombie film from the minds of director Marc Fehse and co-writer A.D. Morel is something we’ve never seen before. Picture, if you will, Nazi zombies riding flying sharks, with the goal of world domination.
I’ve watched the film develop since I first learned the film’s Kickstarter campaign back in May of last year. And so far I’m impressed. Sky Sharks already has several well known actors signed on to star, including Candyman actor Tony Todd, American Horror Story’s Naomi Grossman, Robert Lasardo (Death Race), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (The Man with the Iron Fists 2),Travis Love (The Walking Dead), Amanda Bearse (Fright Night) Dave Sheridan (Horrible Bosses), and Lynn Lowry (The Crazies), just to name a few. The latest addition to the cast of the film is MMA fighter Andreas Kraniotakes, who will be playing one of “The Dead Four”.
The film follows a team of geologists, deep in the Antarctic, uncover an old Nazi laboratory containing the remains of dark experiments. The scientists accidentally unleash a top-secret project, modified, flying sharks and their mutated, super-human zombie riders. The only force that can stop the mutated weapons are the “Dead Flesh Four”, a team of undead U.S. soldiers that were killed and reanimated during the war in Vietnam.
If you are wondering when you might be able to see Sky Sharks, we can answer that. The U.S. release date has been announced as September 1st, 2017.
