In the finale Morgan met two men, one played by Daniel Newman, and it was important meeting. If you look closely to what Newman’s character was wearing, and you have read the comics, you would notice that he appears to be from a community known as “The Kingdom”.
Ezekiel (also referred to as “King Ezekiel”), the leader of The Kingdom is a charismatic, typically peaceful, friendly man. He also happens to a have a pet Tiger named Shiva who protects him. Ezekiel was a zookeeper with a background in theater before the apocalypse began and it shows. He carries himself with pride and an air of drama, but don’t be mistaken, he’s not someone you want to cross.
Unlike most of the groups that Rick’s people have met, The Kingdom will be a great ally against Negan and The Saviors. They have numbers, resources and a hatred for the way Negan and The Saviors conduct themselves. Rick and Ezekiel also happen to have a common friend, Jesus.
The big question is how will Scott Gimple, Greg Nicotero and Robert Kirkman create Shiva? I assume CGI would play a big part in her arriving on the show. Let’s face it, it would be irresponsible to let a tiger run around freely like it does in the comics. It would be awesome to see Shiva taking down walkers and eating Saviors.
