Legendary makeup artist and actor Tom Savini has worked on films such classics as Friday the 13th, Day of the Dead and many others. Out of all of his roles he is most well recognized as “Sex Machine” in 1996’s From Dusk Till Dawn. I mean, who could forget that crotch gun?
Savini has now joined the cast of season 3 of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn series, which airs on Rodriguez’s El Rey Network. The 10 episode season is currently filming in New Mexico. Savini will not be reprising his roles as Sex Machine, but will instead star as Burt, a retired demon hunter who makes a living selling Marijuana.
The series stars D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz as the Gecko brothers, roles originally played in the feature film, which Rodriguez also directed, by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. Wilmer Valderrama, Jake Busy, Eiza Gonzalez, Danny Trejo, Jesse Garcia, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo and Jeff Fahey co-star along with many others in the intense vampire series.

The premiere date for season 3 has yet to be announced. Now would be a good time to head over to Netflix and catch up on season 1 and 2.
