Screenwriter Cory Finley is making his directorial debut with thriller Thoroughbred, which already boasts an impressive cast. The Witch’s Anya Taylor-Joy will star along side Anton Yelchin (Green Room, Burying the Ex), and Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel). The film, from June Pictures and B Story, is beginning production this June.
Thoroughbred center on a volatile relationship between two suburban teenage girls who discover that a murder might solve both of their problems.
June Pictures’ Alex Saks and Andrew Duncan are producing with Kevin J. Welsh of B Story, Jim Rush and Nat Faxon. B Story’s Ryan Stowell will serve as executive producer.
