With its theatrical release approaching, The Shallows has fans hooked and ready to be reeled in by this shark film. Following the unveiling of a new trailer and new international poster earlier this week, a brand new TV Spot has been unleashed and it might be enough to make you never want to get in the water again. The film, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and penned by Anthony Jasinski, follows a young woman who must find a way to survive a huge hungry Great White.
Blake Lively stars as Nancy, who is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a Great White and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of will. Oscar Jaenada and Sedona Legge co-star in The Shallows, being referred to as “the Jaws of this generation”.
The new clip, titled “The Beginning”, and the new TV Spot, titled “Shark Attack”, gives us a look at how the film begins and at the first attack from the massive shark. Catch The Shallows in theaters on June 24th.
