Jurassic World 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2015’s dino blockbuster, is almost ready to begin filming in Hawaii this February, though the film is actually set in another location. Both of Jurassic World’s stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be returning for part 2 under the direction of J.A. Bayona.
This film is said to be about more than just dinosaurs trapped on an island. In an interview with Wired Magazine the film’s writer, Colin Trevorrow, said something interesting that may be a hint towards the sequel’s plot.
[It will not be] just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island, that’ll get old real fast.” He continued.”What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?
So far, every film in the franchise has mainly been about a bunch of people stuck on an island with the once extinct creatures. It would be nice to see a film with a more diverse plot. Don’t get me wrong, I love the franchise, but it would be nice to see something a little different. Jurassic world 2 is set to open in theaters in the June 22, 2018. We will keep you posted.
