Most of you have heard of the comedy duo of Key & Peele and their Comedy Central series by the same name. It’s common knowledge that the two are huge horror fans. Back in September of last year we reported that one part of the duo, Jordan Peele, would be directing his first genre film, ‘Get Out’. Today, Universal Pictures released the first trailer.
Daniel Kaluuy and Allison Williams star in the lead roles in the ‘Get Out’. Betty Gabriel (The Purge: Election Year), Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men series), Milton “LilRel” Howery (The Carmichael Show), Marcus Henderson (Pete’s Dragon) and Keith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton) co-star.
The film follows Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Williams) who have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener) and Dean (Bradley Whitford). At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
‘Get Out’ will open in theaters nationwide on February 24th, 2017.
