The date for the mid-season premiere of Riverdale, the new drama series based on the Archie comic books, has been set for Jan. 26th 2017 at 9PM ET.
What does this mean for Supernatural fans, who are used to tuning in during this time slot? Nothing too drastic, the adventures of Sam and Dean will be shown one hour earlier in an 8 PM ET slot on Thursdays.
This also means that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be relocating to a 9 PM ET slot on Tuesdays, which will begin on Jan. 24th and will run until the season finale on March 28th. On April 4th, the season premiere of iZombie will take over the 9 PM ET Tuesday slot, beginning with a special two hour episode that will start an hour earlier at 8 PM ET.
No Tomorrow may prove to be an appropriate title, as the season (and possibly series) finale will air Tuesday, Jan. 17th at 9 PM ET. The season finale episode for Frequency, airing Wednesday, Jan. 25th at 9 PM ET, could also be the “swan song”for this series. It doesn’t appear that either of these two series, both in their first season, will be renewed for next fall – especially since The CW declined to order any more episodes.
The 100 will be returning for a new season in a new time slot, following Arrow, on Wednesday 9th PM ET starting Feb. 1st. And as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend wraps up its second on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 9 PM ET, Reign will be returning for its fourth season, starting with the premiere episode on Fri. Feb. 10th at 9 PM ET.
The end is nigh for The Vampire Diaries, with the final episode of the series airing on Friday March 19th at 8 PM ET. The following week, on Friday March 17th , The Originals will be returning at 8 PM ET.
