Alanna Masterson doesn’t put up with walkers or bad guys on screen, so why would some internet bullies think they could get away with talking smack in real life? ‘The Walking Dead’ actress who plays Tara, put her foot down Tuesday and explained to a couple of trolls that cyber bullying or commenting on her appearance is not okay.
The new mom, who welcomed a beautiful daughter late last year, broke it down for people who were attempting to body shame her on Instagram.
Dear Instagram trolls, body shamers, and the men and women who think it’s ok to comment on my weight: I hope you don’t have children. And if you do, I hope you teach them about kindness and acceptance. I hope they learn that it isn’t okay to make fun of people or call people names.”
Her message was posted along with a photo of her adorable little girl. Not only did Masterson make herself clear, she did it with class (you can read the full post below) and she never lowered herself to those bullies’ level.
As a woman who spends her fair share of time on social media, I have seen comments from too many people who are eager to say something negative about a woman, or a man’s body (shame on you). Cyber bullying is not okay. I am glad that we have strong women like Alanna Masterson who are willing to take a stand.
For the record, we think Masterson is awesome just the way she is.
