‘Bates Motel’ returns this February for its fifth and final season. The first teaser has arrived and it’s creepy. Norman has officially begun his transformation into Norma.
Many of the cast from last season will be returning, including Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Olivia Cooke, Max Theriot, and Nester Carbonell. Several new characters will also be arriving such as musician/actress Rihanna who will be playing the iconic role of Marion Crane, right out of Alfred Hitchcock’s original 1960 film that the series is based on. Brooke Smith (Ray Donovan) has also joined the cast and will co-star as Sheriff Dana Green. ‘Walking Dead’ alum Austin Nicholas, who played Spencer on the zombie series, has been to the lineup as as a mysterious, charismatic character who will antagonize Norman.
Synopsis For Season 5:
The fifth and final season picks up almost two years after Norma’s (Vera Farmiga) death and finds Norman (Highmore) living a double life. Publicly a happy and well-adjusted member of the White Pine Bay community, Norman struggles at home, where his violent blackouts are increasing as “Mother” threatens to take him over completely. Meanwhile, Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke), now with lives of their own, soon find themselves drawn back into Norman’s insanity, while a vengeful Romero (Nestor Carbonell) hungers for a chance to destroy his stepson.
Check into ‘Bates Motel’ on February 20th for the final season on A&E, from executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin.
