This is a big year for Netflix original genre films and series. The latest to be announced is ‘The Discovery’, directed by Charlie McDowll (The One I Love) and co-written by Justin Lader.

The all-star cast includes Robert Redford, Jason Segal, Rooney Mara, Riley Keough, Jesse Plemons, Ron Canada, and Connor Ratliff.

Synopsis:

One year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified, millions around the world have ended their own lives in order to “get there”. A man and woman fall in love while coming to terms with their own tragic pasts and the true nature of the afterlife.
