Back in 2014, writer-director Klah Roache-Turner unleashed his Australian zombie film ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead‘ which got both a warm reception from genre fans and from us (review). For fans of ‘Wyrmwood’, and zombie fans in general, we have great news. The hit film is getting a spin-off a series.
In fact, the official Facebook page for ‘Wyrmwood’ shared an image from the costume test of two of the film’s stars, Bianca Bradley and Jay Gallagher, who will also be appearing in the series. The caption on the image reads: “SO super-awesome to see these two legends in the studio again! The teaser’s gonna be BAAAAADASS!!!” In the comment section it states that the series will deliver “six hours of content instead of another 95-minutes.” While currently being written, the show will reportedly be on “a streaming platform rather than Aussie TV.” That’s a good thing for us here in the states.
