J.D. Dillard’s kidnap thriller Sleight, which premiered at Sundance, will soon appear in theaters. A new trailer and clip has just arrived ahead of its April release.
In the film, a young street magician (Jacob Latimore) who is left to care for his little sister after their parents pass, turns to illegal activities to keep a roof over their head. When he gets in too deep, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to use his magic and brilliant mind to save her.
Seychelle Gabriel, Dulé Hill, Storm Reid, Sasheer Zamata, Michael Villar, Brandon Johnson, Cameron Esposito, Andrew Fitzpatrick, and Jay Walker co-star.
The film has already inspired a new comic series by the same name from Oni Press with art by Rob Guillory (The Walking Dead). The comic will be available via digital download for free for a limited time beginning March 30, 2017.
BH TIlt in conjunction with WWE Studios will release Sleight in theaters on April 29, 2017 and on Digital HD on April 30th.
