Director Darren Aronofsky has been busy. He has written, directed and produced a horror film under the radar, titled Mother!. And the cast is impressive, including names like Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Domnhall Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig. In fact, the beautiful but bloody poster features Lawrence ripping her own heart out.
Kyle Davies told CinemaCon to expect “thrills and chills” from Mother!. The psychological thriller is said to have a Black Swan feel and center on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disturbing their tranquil existence.
Set to open in theaters on October 13th, Mother! is being produced by Scott Franklin, Ari Handel and Aronofsky, with Jeff G. Waxman serving as executive producer.
