Fox has greenlit the paranormal comedy series Ghosted, starring Adam Scott and Craig Robinson who have worked together before on the 2015 comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

The series, being described as a funny version of The X-Files, follows “a cynical skeptic (Robinson) and a genius “true believer’ in the paranormal (Scott) who are recruited by the The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant ‘unexplained’ activity in Los Angeles, all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.”
Tom Gormican, who wrote the pilot, will serve as executive producer along with Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, Mark Schulman, Scott and Robinson. ‘Workaholics’ Kevin Etten will also be executive producing as well as working as the showrunner. Jonathan Krisel will be in the director’s chair.
In the first trailer for the series, the men are kidnapped and thrust into a world of chaos, aliens, and danger all in an attempt to save the world.
Ghosted will premiere during the 2017-2018 season.
