Jordan Peele’s genre debut, Get Out, was not only a success, it is already being hailed as this year’s top horror film, and it’s only May (spoiler free review).
Today, Get Out landed online and on the shelves. As fans who missed it in theaters or who simply want to watch it again (and again) rush to get their copy, there is a special feature that is worth seeing. There is an alternative ending that is far different from the one seen in theaters.
During an interview on Talking With Chris Hardwick, Peele confessed that he wrote multiple endings for the hit film.
I don’t want to spoil it for those of you who haven’t seen the film yet. Let’s just say the alternate ending does not go well for Chris (Daniel Kaluuya).
For those of you who are not familiar with Get Out, the story centers around Chris, a young African American man, and his white girlfriend Rose (Allison Williams) as they leave the city to travel to her parents house where Chris will meet the family for the first time. Soon after they arrive, Chris begins to notice that things don’t seem quite right. What began as a pleasant weekend quickly turns into a total nightmare.
