It has become a tradition that a new film for The Purge franchise arrives in theaters every Independence Day. Next year will be no different.
The fourth film of the franchise has now entered development with James DeManaco once again writing the script.
Part 4 will be a little different from the previous films, the still unnamed movie will be a prequel. After three films we will finally learn exactly how it all began.
While the cast has yet to be announced, we do know that Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Sebastian Lemercier will be producing.
The Purge 4 is set to open in theaters on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. We’ll keep you posted as this film develops alongside the new Purge television series.
