Fans and critics alike were heartbroken when NBC announced back in 2015 that after only three seasons they were killing Hannibal. The series’ creator Brad Fuller has continued to tell fans that the series could be revived at some point and that the series is not completely dead.
Last night on Twitter Fuller was asked about the series’ status and he had an interesting answer.

Conversations couldn’t start until 2 years after the final airing of season 3,” he said. “[The De Laurentiis Company] has started those conversations. This takes time.”

Both Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy have already made it clear that they would love to sink their teeth into a fourth season.

I know Hannibal fans all have their fingers (and dinner forks) crossed that we will get another taste of the amazing, dark, and breathtakingly stunning series inspired by the cannibalistic character from Thomas Harris’ novels that introduced the world to Dr. Hannibal Lecter in 1981 in ‘Red Dragon’. The books also spawned the film series that featured Anthony Hopkins as the brilliant doctor with a taste for flesh.
