It has been 17 years since we met Samuel L. Jackson’s character Mr. Glass and Bruce Willis’ David Dunn in M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable. Last year in Shyamalan’s Split we were introduced to Dennis/The Beast and host of other personalities played by James McAvoy and learned in the final moments of the film that it was connected to Unbreakable.
Today, we have the first image of Samuel L Jackson reprising his role in Glass, the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split, which began filming in Philidelphia last month.
“Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds David Dunn pursuing Kevin Wendell Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Elijah Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.”
Anya Taylor-Joy who escaped “The Beast” is Split will also be reprising her role as Casey Cooke. Spencer Treat Clark will return to play Joseph Dunn, the son of Bruce Willis’ character. And Charlayne Woodard will once again play Elijah Price’s mother. ‘American Horror Story’ actress Sarah Paulson has joined the cast.
Shyamalan will produce alongside Jason Blum, Ashwin Rajan, Steven Schneider, and Marc Bienstock.
Glass is set to open in theaters nationwide on January 18, 2019.
