If you’ve been patiently waiting for Netflix’s Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, the first Godzilla anime film, you’ll be excited to learn that it will be arriving later this month.
Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, the first film of a new trilogy from Toho, was directed by Kobun Shizuno and was voiced by Yuuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai, Mamoru Miyano, Junichi Suwabe, Kana Hanazawa, and Tomokazu Sugita.
Set 20,000 years in the future, the film reveals that monsters have taken over the planet, human civilization has been destroyed, and the remaining survivors have fled to outer space. Haruo, a young man who witnessed his parents killed by Godzilla, leads a group of explorers back to earth in an attempt to reclaim it from the monstrous beasts.
Netflix will unleash Godzilla on January 17, 2018.
