It’s fitting that we are sharing this news on St. Patrick’s Day.
Syfy Wire has just announced that next year we will witness a new sequel to the Leprechaun franchise, Leprechaun Returns.  The new installment of the original series has already found its director, Steven Kostanski (The Void).
Taylor Spreitler (Kevin Can’t Wait), Pepi Sonuga (Ash vs Evil Dead), Sai Bennett (Lake Placid: Legacy), Emily Reid, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins, Ben McGregor will star. Mark Holton will be returning to reprise his role as Ozzie. Unfortunately, Warwick Davis will not reprise his role as the leprechaun, but he did say that Kostanski did a great job of casting his replacement, Linden Porco.
“The film picks up 25 years after the events of the 1993 original, which found a maniacal Leprechaun doing whatever it takes (including committing gruesome murder) to track down his stolen pot of gold. Leprechaun Returns finds the leprechaun revived in the modern day when a group of sorority girls unwittingly awaken him while tearing down a cabin to build a new sorority house.”
Written by “Ash vs Evil Dead’s” Suzanne Keilly, Syfy’s Leprechaun Returns will premiere in March 2019. Check out the teaser.
