Following its well-received arrival at 2018’s Overlook Film Festival, Puppet Master: Littlest Reich has snagged an August release.
From Bone Tomahawk director S. Craig Zahler comes the reimagining of Full Moon’s cult classic, which he both wrote and directed.
Udo Kier, Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Jenny Pellicer (Cocaine Godmother), Nelson Franklin (Veep), Charlyne Yi (This is 40), Michael Pare Eddie and the Cruisers), and Barbara Crampton star (Re-Animator) star.
Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk produced for Cinestate. The film will be the first released under the recently resurrected Fangoria label.
In the film, recently divorced Edgar (Lennon) returns to his childhood home to regroup his life. When Edgar finds nefarious looking puppets in his deceased brother’s room, he decides to sell it for a quick buck at a convention celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. Girl-next-door Ashely (Pellicer) and his comic book shop boss (Franklin), join Edgar for the doomed road trip. All hell breaks loose when a strange force animates the puppets during the convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree. The film brings back several of the puppets we love and a few new ones.
Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich comes to life on August 17, 2018.
