The Child’s Play franchise has spanned thirty years and seven films, now it’s headed to TV. Back in February, we reported that the franchise is getting its own series. Creator Don Mancini and David Kirschner have been developing the series and over Twitter today, Mancini teased the show with a GIF.

“We plan to use Child’s Play in the title,” Mancini has stated. “We want to definitely signal that we are going dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy.”
We also know that actor Brad Dourif, the longtime voice of our favorite killer doll, will return for the series, which will feature 8 hour-long episodes. There is no word yet if Tiffany or Glenn/Glenda will also be featured, though we really hope they are.
