After 23 years, the sequel to Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott‘s Tales from the Hood is finally on its way. In fact, the trailer has just arrived and the release date announced!
Keith David (The Thing) stars as Mr. Simms who reveals stories about lust, greed, pride, and politics told through tales with possessed psychics, demonic dolls, vengeful vixens, and ghosts.
David stars alongside Bryan Batt, Alexandria DeBerry, Jay Huguley, Kendrick Cross, Andy Cohen, Martin Bats Bradford, Adian Lockett, Kenesha Washington, Gunnar Anderson, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Toney Chapman Steele.
Cundieff and Scott produce with Spike Lee serving as executive producer.
Tales from the Hood 2 will make its world premiere at Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec on Friday, July 13th. The anthology will arrive on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital, and On Demand on October 2, 2018, from Universal and 1440 Entertainment.
