Jurassic Park, Death Becomes Her, Stir of Echoes, The Mummy, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Ron Howard‘s Inferno, and Spider-Man, just a few of the films from screenwriter turned author David Koepp. Koepp’s debut novel Cold Storage has now been completed. Before it could even be released, Paramount has already swooped in and scored the rights to adapt it into a feature film, beating out multiple studios.
In the book, “ a virus stored in a government facility that gets out and wreaks havoc on the world.” Variety reports.
Koepp is expected to both write the adaptation and produce alongside Gavin Polone. Cold Storage is set to be published in 2019 by HarperCollins’ Ecco Press.
