Streaming genre service Shudder has announced that Graham Reznick‘s killer series Deadwax will be making its World Premiere at the Fantastic Fest in Texas. Reznick who served as the sound designer on several films such as Stakeland and The Sacrament before becoming a filmmaker.
“In the series, which will premiere in its entirety, “A young woman (Hannah Gross) is pulled into a murder investigation revolving around a curious vinyl record which has driven those who possess it mad, and killed anyone who dared to listen to it.“
The film takes cues from the urban legends about backmasking, that’s when a record is played in reverse and a message is revealed.
