AMC has added two stars to the cast of the adaptation of Joe Hill‘s supernatural novel “NOS4A2“. “American Horror Story’s” Zachary Quinto and Ashley Cummings (Hounds of Love) will play the lead roles in the series whose first two episodes will be directed by Kari Skogland (“The Handmaid’s Tale”).
In “NOS4A2”, Vic McQueen (Cummings), a young, working-class artist discovers she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx (Quinto). Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic fights to defeat Manx and rescue his victims but must do so without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
Produced by AMC Studios in association with Michael Eisner’s Tornante Television, the series was created by Jami O’Brien (Far the Walking Dead) who will serve as the series’ showrunner.
“NOS4A2” will feature 10-episodes its first season which will premiere in 2019.
