Zombie fans, brace yourself because what I’m about to tell you might just leave you shook. It’s been fifty years since George A. Romero changed the horror genre forever with his classic Night of the Living Dead.

Living Dead Media, the company entrusted with handling Romero’s masterpiece have announced that they are going to deliver the official sequel. What’s more, some of the original people involved with NOTD will be part of Night of the Living Dead II which is expected to be released sometime in late 2019.
At this time the company is keeping the details hush, hush, but with something this big, it’s only a matter of time before we learn more. They did have this to say:
That history and Night of the Living Dead’s place on the Mt. Rushmore of horror films is known by most horror fans and people all over the world. But, unknown to most is that in the 1970’s, the original writers and producers of Night of the Living Dead penned a sequel to their masterpiece. A sequel that inexplicably has gone unproduced for over forty years – until now. Living Dead Media has brushed away the dirt from this amazing follow up to a classic and brought together a great team to produce the new film.”
George A. Romero‘s wife Suzanne Desrocher-Romero has previously stated that Romero left behind more than forty scripts that have never been developed, so there is a chance we’ll get to see more of his work in the future.
We’ll keep you posted.
