The international sci-fi hit Attraction, from the director of Stalingrad, lands on home video this December.

In the film, “Moscow finds itself on the brink of destruction after a mysterious spaceship crash-lands in the center of the city. While the government seeks to find out what the ship’s passengers want and how to protect the local population, the rest of the city residents break into conflicting factions. Some view the aliens as a threat that should be extinguished, while others hope that the visitors are peaceful and offer an opportunity to learn more about the world beyond.
When a young woman finds herself torn between her seemingly normal life and the alluring promise offered by one of the all-too-human extraterrestrials, the fate of the entire world is left hanging in the balance.”
Irina Starshenbaum, Alexander Petrov, Rinal Mukhametov, Oleg Menshikov, Sergey Garmash, and Lyudmilla Maksakov star.
The sci-fi action spectacle features state-of-the-art effects and production design, that stands alongside such blockbuster favorites as Independence Day, Pacific Rim and District 9. It is the latest film from renowned Russian filmmaker and actor Fedor Bondarchuk (Stalingrad, Dark Planet) who is currently filming a sequel for release in 2019.
Rich Cross of Starburst called Attraction “a bold and sophisticated tale …a landmark entry in the modern Russian sci-fi film canon.” “Whenever the mothership starts whirring, or its mutant metallic spawn works their warlike mischief, it’s quite a lot of fun,” said Nigel Andrews of the Financial Times.”
Attraction, a Russian film dubbed in English, is set to arrive on digital, Blu-ray and DVD on December 4, 2018.
