Back in August the sequel to the hit high-tension horror film A Quiet Place was officially headed our way, but it was not revealed who would be directing or which cast members would be returning. Today, we can answer those questions.
Director/star John Krasinski revealed via social media that he is returning to direct the sequel which he co-wrote with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck who he teamed up with on the 2018 hit.
Emily Blunt who played the wife of Krasinski’s character Lee in the first film, and Milicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe who played his children are all currently in talks to return for the sequel.
In A Quiet Place, an isolated family lived in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound. The intense, often heart-wrenching film was praised by viewers and critics alike, in fact, it made it on our Top 13 Films of 2018 list.
A Quiet Place 2 is set to begin filming this Summer and will open in theaters on May 5, 2020.
