What if Superman was born bad? We’re about to find out in the James Gunn-produced film Brightburn from director David Yarovesky. We’ve gotten our hands on the second trailer that reveals what happens when superheroes go bad.

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? In this horror-centered take on the superhero trope, a couple (Elizabeth Banks and David Denman) adopt a baby from another world. They raise the boy (Jackson A. Dunn) to use his powers for good, but an evil begins to grow within him.

Brightburn takes over theaters on May 24, 2019.
