Michael Rooker has joined the cast of Monster Problems, a coming-of-age film from director Michael Matthews (Five Fingers for Marseilles) that has the potential to become a franchise. Rooker, who starred in Guardians of the Galaxy, HBO’s “True Detective“, and who played Daryl’s brother Merle on “The Walking Dead“, joins previously announced cast member Dylan O’Brien, Deadline reports.
Rooker has been cast as Clyde, an expert hunter who teaches Joel Dawson (O’Brien) how to survive the monsters apocalypse.
Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson penned the script for Monster Problems which Shawn Levy will produce for 21 Laps.
