It seems like every classic horror film that we’ve grown to love is being rebooted. The latest movie to be added to list is Clive Barker’s Hellraiser.

Variety is reporting that David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight, Blade II) is getting ready to serve up what we hope is not another painful installment. Goyer is describing the reboot as a “loyal, evolved reimagining.”

Gary Barber‘s Spyglass Media will finance, develop, and fast-track the film for distribution.

I’ve been a fan of Clive’s work since the original Books of Blood paperbacks and ‘The Hellbound Heart’” Goyer stated. “Having the chance to reimagine Pinhead and the Cenobites for a new audience is a nightmare-come-true. Gary is a true fan as well and we’re committed to making something dark and visceral.

Keith Levine will be producing alongside Goyer.
