We have news for fans of Netflix’s crime series “Mindhunter“. During a recent episode of the “Howard Stern Show” executive producer Charlize Theron revealed that the second season will premiere this August.

The network renewed the hit series back in November of 2017, but things have been quiet so far, with few details revealed.

We do know that Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany are returning for season 2 which will involve the infamous Atlanta child murders. The killings took place between 1979 and 1981 and claimed the lives of 28 victims who were children, teens, and young adult all of African American descent. Wayne Williams was arrested and convicted for the murder of two adults but has since been linked to the child murders.

It has been rumored that Charles Manson will also make an appearance during the eight-episode season. Reportedly Damon Herriman is set to play the cult leader. Herriman also plays Manson in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Another of the infamous killers that will be featured this season is David Berkowitz, also known as the Son of Sam. Berkowitz may be interviewed and asked for advice with the Atlanta child murder case.
