Horror heavy Hitter James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring, Aquaman) will be directing and producing the pilot of the new series based on the ’97 slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The Amazon series is being described as ” a young adult horror series based on the Moritz-produced hit movie franchise.”
The original film, directed by Jim Gillespie, four friends are bound together by a tragic accident. When they are reunited they are stalked by a hook-wielding killer in their small seaside town.
The series is part of the new three-year deal inked by The Fast and the Furious producer Neal H. Moritz and Sony Pictures Television. Mortiz is also behind the series “Happy”, “S.W.A.T”, “Preacher”, and “Prison Break”, and films such as Goosebumps, Cruel Intentions, and R.I.P.D.
