CAPCOM has announced at the Tokyo Game Show that they’re currently in works of developing a new five-player online co-op game set in the “Resident Evil” universe with the working title of Project Resistance. CAPCOM will make the game in partnership with NeoBards Entertainment. Four players take on the roles of survivors who are trapped in a twisted man-made game of survival with one player taking on the role of the “Mastermind” who controls what horrors awaits the team of survivors.

Each survivor has a certain set of skills that will help aid their teammates as they go through the twisted mazes and obstacles that the Mastermind has put in place. Players must work together to solve puzzles and fight enemies that the Mastermind may unleash on them in order to escape before time runs out!

The Mastermind has control of the environment and can track the movements of the four survivors through security cameras. The Mastermind can manipulate the environment, set traps, release deadly creatures, and putting weapons on the security cameras! Along with these skills, the Mastermind can also enter the fight by taking control of a zombie and attacking other players. If being a zombie is not working at slowing down players, or too boring, the Mastermind can take control of the fearsome trench coat wearing tyrant Mr.X!

Project Resistance will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, as soon as we hear more, you’ll be the first to know!
