The creature feature Anaconda is slithering its way back to the big screen with a reboot from Columbia Pictures.

The 1997 original followed a “National Geographic” team taken hostage by an insane hunter on a mission to hunt down and capture the world’s largest and most deadly snake. Directed by Luis Llosa, Anaconda (trailer below) starred Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Eric Stoltz, Ice Cube, and Owen Wilson. It spawned three sequels and spin-off.

The reboot will be an all-new story with a modern take, according to THR who also states the movie will have a budget similar to that of 2018’s The MEG, starring Jason Statham.

Even Daughtery (Snow White and the Huntsman, Tomb Raider) has signed on to write the script.

What do you think? Are you excited about the reboot? Let us know.
