Orion Pictures has revealed that Waxwork Records has launched Gretel & Hansel Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by ROB.
Inspired by the twisted tale, the Paris-based composer created “a haunting and hypnotic electronic” sound for the soundtrack released as a deluxe vinyl featuring the complete film music by ROB (Maniac, Revenge, Horns), 180 gram colored vinyl, new artwork by Sara Deck, old-style tip-on gatefold jackets with satin coating, and heavyweight printed inner sleeves. The soundtrack is also available on streaming platforms Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify.
From visionary director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House) comes a new frightening twist on a beloved tale that follows a young girl and her little brother as they venture into the dark woods in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
The film also stars Alice Krige as the Witch and introduces Sammy Leakey as Hansel.
Gretel & Hansel was written by Rob Hayes (Netflix’s “Chewing Gum”) and produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Upgrade) and Fred Berger (La La Land, Destroyer) on behalf of Automatik. Sandra Yee Ling and Macdara Kelleher executive produced.
Gretel & Hansel debuted in theaters on January 31, 2020, from Orion Pictures.
