Following her two Oscar nominations for Harriet, Cynthia Erivo has signed on as the lead of Amblin’s upcoming thriller Carrier, Deadline reports.
The film is inspired by the podcast created by QCode and Dan Blank, which Erivo appeared on.
“Erivo will play Raylene, a truck driver who accepts an off-the-books long hall trucking assignment to cover for her ill father. She soon realizes that her mysterious cargo is a threat to the world and various forces begin targeting her to control or destroy it.”
Blank is writing and directing the feature film which Erivo will be producing.
