In the film, “A rare family night for Jay takes a brutal twist when he awakens in a basement with three other prisoners. As their vengeful captor runs riot, Jay engages in a twisted battle to solve the puzzle to his past and save his family’s future.”
Starring genre icon Richard Blake (31, 3 from Hell), Bart Edwards, Richard Short, Alexandre Evans, Robert Maaser, and Daniel Schutzmann, The Dare was co-written by Jonny Grant.
The movie was produced by Julian Kostov (Leatherface) Yariv Lerner (Hellboy) and Alexander Kenanov (Loving Pablo) for B2Y Productions. Sales Millennium Films (Hellboy, Day of The Dead, Rambo, Last Blood).
It was filmed at Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria.
The Dare made its US premiere at the Popcorn Frights Festival this past August. A US release should be announced soon.
