The local school principal is eager to end the rumors that accidents that have befallen the student body as of late are the result of supernatural static comin’ straight from everybody’s fav monstrous mirror maiden; Bloody Mary!
To that end he hires The Ghoulbusters (yes, they are called out on the name and their eerily similar logo); a squad of local ghost hunters (who fake all of their encounters ‘natch) hoping to score a shit-hot TV deal… and let’s not beat around the bush; these folks are pretty inept… some downright stupid in fact.
Anyway, our faux-heroes totally release that dread dame from her looking-glass prison and soon she engages in a bloodbath the ‘busters’ are ill-equipped to handle! Will they survive the night and end Mary’s revoltin’ reign or will they end up the next pile of gory goo splattered all over the halls of that insane institution?!!
Ghost Killers vs Bloody Mary is one hell of a great time in the ol’ horror biz cats n’ creeps! The main cast of paranormal investigators are so goddamned likable, that even when their being selfish or dumbasses… or any combo of the two you can’t help but love them, and the humor hits the mark nearly every damn time… no small feat, that’s for sure!
That goes a long-ass way in getting you invested in the completely over-the-top supernatural shenanigans… and man does the film ever come jam-packed with those! We get gallons of gore, living turds, ghastly ghosts… you stopped reading at “living turds” didn’t ya? Well, good… because I know that means you are already sold on this freaky flick as you well and truly should be!
The only negative yours cruelly had with this DVD release from Dark Sky Films is that there isn’t much in the way of special features present. Included is the film’s trailer… and that’s all she wrote there my faithful fiends.
Bottom line; if you want a gore-splattered laugh-fest, then Ghost Killers vs Bloody Mary is going to be your cup of terror tea for damn sure and comes highly recommended for horror hounds that dig on early Peter Jackson or Evil Dead 2!
